Unlike conventional metal staplers that pierce and straddle external skin, SubQ It! places bioabsorbable fasteners beneath the skin surface. This eliminates train-track scarring, removes the need for a staple-removal visit, and causes significantly less patient discomfort while maintaining closure speed comparable to metal devices.

The SubQ It! fasteners are made from a bioabsorbable polymer and are designed to be absorbed by the body after the wound has healed. They do not need to be removed, eliminating the follow-up appointment and associated discomfort that percutaneous metal staples require.

SubQ It! is available in two models: the SU-10, which carries 10 bioabsorbable fasteners for incisions up to 10 cm, and the SU-25, which carries 25 fasteners for incisions up to 25 cm. Both are suitable for trocar incisions in laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgery.
